The Bayelsa state ministry of works and infrastructure is headed by the Hon. Commissioner Mr. Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo. For efficiency, the works and infrastructure ministry is divided into 2 departments:

1. MULTI-DOOR COURT HOUSE;

The multi-door court house is a project initiated by the Hon. Dickson's administration to serve as a litigation and arbitration center for Bayelsans. The project is a large 2 story complex with elevators presently completed and awaits commissioning.

2. BAYELSA STATE QUALTY COUNTROL LABORATORY.

The Bayelsa state quality control lab is another project initiated by the Hon. Henry S. Dickson’s administration. The lab which is under the ministry of works and infrastructure was initiated to test structural equipments before they are utilized for construction. The lab will also be opened for students of structural engineering, geosciences etc for industrial training.

3. BAYELSA DIAGNOSTIC CENTER

The Bayelsa state owned diagnostic center is another laudable project initiated by the administration of Henry seriake Dickson. This world class diagnostic center is a one- stop center for all medical investigations, from MRI, PET Scan, MAMMOGRAM etc. The 2 story complex is located along Imgi road and center is 95 percent completed.

The Bayelsa state secretariat annex 1 is a magnificent 2 floors complex initiate by the administration of Hon Henry s Dickson, the secretariat built for civil servants across the state is at its completion stage and might be commissioned by February/march.

5. 10 BLOCKS OF 4 BEDROOM DUPLEX AT COMMISSIONERS QUATERS

To augment the insufficient quarters for states honourable commissioners, the Dickson led administration built an additional 10 flats of 4 bedroom duplexes at commissioner’s quarters in Opolo,Yenagoa.

6. TRANSPARENCY PLAZA

transparency plaza is A 5 separate blocks of 6 stories each mansions, being developed for commercial purposes by the Dickson Led administration. the 1st block is 95 percent completed, 2 blocks are at the 3rd stages of construction while the other 2 are near completion. This project is under CCDA

7. NYSC PERMANENT CAMP KIAMA

A permanent NYSC orientation camp is being built in kiama to the credit of the Hon. Dickson led administration. The camp with various components is at different stages of completion.

The feature of the camp includes;

8. SPECIALIST HOSPITAL TORU ORUA.

This is another project initiated by the Dickson led administration for cancer treatments. The project is ongoing and when completed will have;

11.  Boro Town.

Boro town is a town under construction in kiama the headquarters of kolokuma opokuma LGA, being developed in honour of the ijo hero, Isaac Adaka Jasper Boro by the Dickson led administration.

Structures being presently constructed in this town are;

A.       Outdoor auditorium

B.       5 bedroom duplexes

C.       4 bedroom bungalows

D.       1 bedroom flats

E.        Outdoor auditorium

F.        Gate entrance house

12. RESIDENTIAL QUATERS FOR HEATH WORKERS (500 BED HOSPITAL)

Residential accommodations are being built in the premises of the Ernest Ikoli hospital for health workers by the administration of Henry Seriake Dickson.

The buildings under construction presently are;  

A.       2 blocks of 2 story buildings for 60 self contain apartments

B.       3 blocks of 2 story buildings for 90 numbers of 1 bedroom flat

C.       1 block of 2 storey building for 18 no’s of 2bedroom flats

D.       2 blocks of 2 story buildings for 24 numbers of 3 bedroom flats
