GOV
DICKSON URGE PDP FAITHFULS TO SHUN RUMOURS AND BE SUPPORTIVE

Bayelsa State Governor Hon. Seriake
Dickson has called on members of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in the state
to shun all forms of rumuor mongering, maintain the existing cordial working
relationship among its rank and file in the state.

He has also charged party faithfuls
to always seek ways of uplifting the image of the party by supporting the
policies and programmes of his administration in the state.

Governor Dickson stated this
during his monthly visit and interactive session with members of the State
Working Committee and other party members at the party’s secretariat, in
Yenagoa.

Governor Dickson, who
thanked members of the party for their support and understanding, especially
during the short period he was away, urged them to work collectively as a
family to ensure the success of the party at all times.

The state Chief Executive stated
that the activities of party members were beginning to attract greater respect to
the party both within and outside the country, noting that this rising
reputation has been made manifest largely due to the positive attributes of its
members.

He urged them to keep faith
with his administration, promising that a lot will come their way very soon.

On the floods ravaging the
state, he described the situation as critical, adding that the state government
was in collaboration with the federal government and other relevant agencies to
alleviate the sufferings of the people.

In his remarks, the State Chairman
of the Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP Rtd. Col Sam Inokoba, thanked the
governor for the visit despite his busy schedule.

He also commended members
for their solidarity, understanding and continued support for the Seriake
Dickson led administration.

Drawing inspiration from the
scriptures, Rtd Colonel Inokoba described the flood as a cleansing process,
noting that the Lord in his infinite mercies will not forsake Bayelsa state in
times of distress.
