Special Church Service for Flood Victims/Displaced Persons at the Samson siasia Stadium.. In attendance was the President Dr Goooluck Ebele Jonathan.

nor, political appointees and Hundreds of Displaced Persons.

 

  The Governor who spoke first, talked about the impact of the flood on the state and encouraged the displaced persons. He said the Govt is committed to making the harsh living conditions caused by the floods better for the victims.
The camp coordinator also spoke on their living conditions in camp, while he commended the state government for their timely intervention but also asked the Govt to do more and ensure that its efforts impact the right people who are the victims.

 

 

 

 The president who spoke last; Encouraged the victims and said Govts. major concern is how they will live their lives after the flood.. The President said that Govt. is trying to put together a package for all victims to help them restart life since a lot of them have lost their homes and farmlands to the floods...
