Bayelsa Financial Crisis Over, Says Bubagha

Bayelsa Financial Crisis Over, Says Bubagha

Bayelsa United head coach, Richard Bubagha has said the financial crisis bedeviling the club has been addressed by the state government as the team will soon step up its game in the league.
The Yenagoa-based side have been fluctuating in the 20-team elite league table sitting among the bottom placed teams.
The dark complexioned coach who took over from Ladan Bosso affirmed the players are presently in perfect frame of mind to fight for their proper position on the league table.
“Bayelsa United will surely bounce back to reckoning, the position we occupied at the moment on the league table is temporary.
“Yes, we’re having some financial challenges but that have been addressed by the deputy governor who spoke with the players on Tuesday.
“The issue is players signing-on fees not match bonuses or salaries as those ones are paid promptly.
“Signing-on fee is the main problem and major complaint which has more or less dampened the morale, fighting spirit and zeal of the players coupled with the fact that we still play our home games outside our home ground.
“I think positive steps have been taken to take care of the challenges, nobody is boycotting any game rather we’re in perfect frame of mind to challenge Warri Wolves for the three points at stake on Wednesday.
“Bayelsa United will surely bounce back to reckoning, the position we occupied at the moment on the league table is temporary.
“We’ve quite numbers of home matches in the second stanza that will greatly aid our quick recovery, I strongly believe there is no cause for alarm, we’ll surely overcome our setback,” said Bubagha to supersport.com.
It would be recalled Bayelsa United have gone four straight matches without a win against Dolphins, Lobi Stars, Heartland and Warri Wolves.
