Bayelsa to Benefit from Mass Housing Scheme

Bayelsa State is among the pilot states to benefit from 500 housing units to be built by the Association of Housing Corporation of Nigeria.
The State Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development, Hon Nimibofa Ayawei, made this known recently when the executive members of Association of Housing Corporation of Nigeria paid him a courtesy visit in his office in Yenagoa.

Ayawei noted that, the present administration was desirous of the projects and would do everything within its powers to ensure a hitch free execution, adding that plans have reached advanced stage for the establishment of a mortgage company to facilitate access to funds directly from local and international sources.

The commissioner further stated that the state was also among other pilot states to benefit from another 10,000 units of houses to be built by the Federal Government, pointing out that the state government was presently embarking on an intensive construction of housing projects across the eight local government areas.
He said the houses when completed would be made affordable for the people.

In his remarks, the leader of delegation and Chief Executive of Greater Tomorrow Integrated Services Limited, Arc Emaka Okoye expressed appreciation to the state government for accepting to partner with his organization.
