PAYMENT OF N18,000 MINIMUM WAGE ARREARS

The payment of the N18,000 minimum wage arrears to workers in Bayelsa State commenced on 7 April 2014 with the government transferring N125.92 million monthly to a dedicated account.
As at 30 June 2014, N755.54 million has been transferred and N250.13 million has been paid. So far, 27 MDAs involving 1,494 workers have been paid.
Payments are made after detailed review of the vouchers are carried out by a team led by the NLC & TUC. Only MDAs that have been captured in the Oracle platform are paid.

BAYELSA STATE SALARY PAYMENT TIMELINES

In an effort to migrate the salaries of MDAs into the Human Resource Units of the Oracle System, detailed timelines have been established for the workings of Accountants and the office of the SA Treasury, Accounts & Revenue. The timelines are as follows: Attached
All Permanent Secretaries and Accountants should take note as there is penalty for default.
